Harmless (Phillies 10, Giants 4)
Not much to say about a terrible performance. Except this: The Giants lineup scares absolutely no one. What message is Larry Bowa sending when he A) walks Bonds intentionally to load the bases with no one out and a four-run lead and B) sits his own bomber with a six-run lead in the top of the sixth? With all due disrespect, let's see it, you hacks.
There's a lot of talk on the net about moving Bonds up in the order. I say what the hell, if he's going to be walked in every situation except with the bags full, bat him leadoff. Why the hell not? Sure, I'm bitter. We're talking about one of the best hitters of all time -- ever! -- and we're not going to be able to really see him play. Bah.
So Dallimore shows he can hit the ball a little and your offense is sputtering. What to do? Glue him to the bench and keep running Neifi Perez out there whenever possible.
And then send Dallimore down in favor of Deivi Cruz. If Dallimore can play second, I'm sure he can manage playing short...
