Fear Factor (Giants 7, Reds 6)

I love baseball. The Giants win because the Reds are so afraid of a man on an 0-for-14 stretch that they intentionally walk him to lead off the tenth and because the slowest man in baseball beat out a double play ball.

Opposing managers are letting fear take over their decisions. Why walk Bonds to lead off an inning? How crazy is that?

Bases loaded, one out in the ninth, tie score, J.T. Snow up. I admit my first thought here, even before a pitch was thrown, was "double play." Snow's bat cooperated, but his legs did not.

Deivi Cruz for shortstop.
